TOI on 19th April'09 has an article - " Girl dragged out of train, gang - raped" and another - " Pak Taliban kill couple in public for 'adultery'". Both of the articles have one thing in common, the crime was done in the public. No one had the guts to either save the girl or the couple!!
Just think of this - 17 year girl being dragged from the general compartment and being gang raped. Is it the Swaraj that our indepedence fighters have thought of? Don't you think we were better when we were under British rule?
Another news articles which was publised on 18th April'09 as one of the headlines in TOI was about " Kasab", the terrorist who was arrested for the Taj blasts in Mumbai ( 26/11). It was written that the terrorist says he's a minor and is only of 17 years. Also, according to him, he was forced to write about the explosive contents that he had told in February. I agree that India is the largest democracy and the people have the right to seek justice, but does Kasab requires anyu justice in this case? He had been caught red handed firing indiscriminately at public and he seeks for justice! The real justice to him according to me would be to let public shoot at him or a much more cruel death.
Now questions to bother you - how can people live normal lives after reading so much? Why do they carry on their daily chores and never think about such things? Is it what we've been made for??
