Concrete Nest

Well, it's been really really long since I blogged.

Saw something in the morning while I was on my regular morning walk which made me to think and write this.

I saw a crow with an iron "twig" in its beak. It probably misjudged the thin iron wire as a twig and was possibly going to use it to build its nest. Result? The nest would not be a comfortable one and might also hurt the chicks.

Yes, its all probability and hypothesis, but what I'm trying to say here is the disposal of these unused materials. There is no proper waste disposal system even in a city like Bangalore and neither are our schools interested in providing such social education which creates a sense of understanding about issues like these.

Coming back to the incident of the crow, we see such occurrences everyday where animals are affected due to similar acts. Cows and dogs eating plastic which has discarded food is a common sight. It's not that I'm not concerned about the earthlings who also get affected due to spreading of diseases, but me, being a nature-lover would be equally, or, to be correct, would be more concerned about animals who suffer due to human actions.

The waste disposal system of Bangalore, which has been in limelight in recent past, needs to be transformed. I might not be the correct person to provide a solution, without knowing the internal functionalities, but ultimately its the common man who suffers. We are unable to solve the problem of day to day waste disposal, I wonder what would happen of the waste that comes out or is coming out soon from the IT industry which Bangalore boasts of - the e-waste.

Not only the government, but its our duty to be a responsible citizen and help in keeping the environment neat and clean. It'll be foolish to mention about the do's and don't's here, we are quite mature enough to understand the basics. Lets be mature enough to understand others too. A request to all to please think about this when you throw anything anywhere.
